That's not my dog, but you've found my blog - the perfect supplement to TAS (The Afternoon Show) on 98.7 The Vine. If I talk about it on air, I'll post it here. Under African Skies is a new documentary from filmmaker Joe Berlinger that takes a look at the controversy and political unrest surrounding Paul Simon's Graceland. This year, Simon celebrates 25 years since the release of the record that broke cultural barriers and was arguably one of his greatest musical accomplishments. The film debuted in Los Angeles and New York last week and has screened at Sundance London and in South Africa. No word yet on a widespread distribution deal. A Graceland reissue will also be available this June from Legacy Recordings in a CD/DVD double disc release, a box set edition, and a super-deluxe collector's edition box set.

Enter: Tom Waits. Some internet genius created the perfect Nyan Cat / Tom Waits mashup: www.nyanwaits.com BRILLIANT. How long can you Nyan-nyan-nyan-nyan-neahhh for? My record was just over 2 minutes.
Just for reference, below, the original "Nyan Cat" video:
And thanks again to our friend CJ for the tip! Happy weekend.
